All published or unpublished authors may enter the Black
Diamonds’ synopsis contest in either our published or unpublished
categories. If the author has not been published in the
last two (2) years, he may enter either category. If the
author is published but not PAN-eligible, he may enter either
category. If during the contest, the author becomes PAN-eligible,
author must notify the contest coordinator immediately.
Author will be moved to the published category, if possible, or
remain in the unpublished category if judging has already commence.
The entry consists of one synopsis of any length up to 10 pages,
single or double-spaced. Follow industry-standard
requirements for font, margins, and other formatting issues. But
seriously, if you need to make tiny little font or skinny margins to
fit in the page limit, then you probably need to do some serious
editing for extraneous content. Authors name should not appear
anywhere on the entry, except the entry form. Title should appear at
the top of the page. All entries are electronic, e-mailed in .rft
(Rich Text Format) or .txt (Plain Text Format.)
No entries will be accepted past midnight August 15th.
Entries not consistent with the contest rules will be disqualified,
destroyed, and a full refund issued.
The entry fee is $18. Enter as many times as you like. Additional
entries are $15.
Payments will be accepted by Pay Pal, and/or check or money order.
NO CASH. Payments must be
received by midnight August 31st, or entry will be
disqualified.
Finalists will be informed the week of September 15th,
all judged entries will be returned as soon as finalists are
notified.
Finalist
